Kate's first haircut!!!

So it's official. Kate has had her first haircut! Our good friend Julie (who cut Zach's hair for the first time several years ago) has cut all of our hair for years! Then she decided to get married, move, and have a beautiful baby! How rude!!! Just kidding Julie! She let us know that she was going to be in town this week and wanted to cut my hair! I told her that I had wanted Kate's hair trimmed...it's not like Kate has a ton of hair (like Julia :) ) but Kate's hair is very wild and uneven in several places. My hope is that once it's cut it will grow better! We'll see! Kate was an absolute angel the entire time she got it cut! Julie did a great job (as usual). Kate's first haircut was a piece of cake compared to Zach's! Right Julie?!?!?!?!?

Daddy and Kate!

Do you like your icecream Zach?!?!

Zach & baseball!!!

Zach is ready for another season of baseball! He is on the White Sox (Daddy is NOT happy about that). They are pitched to by the coach this year...we'll see how that goes! Honestly, in the backyard he loves to hit the ball. It's the fielding thing that is a problem! :) Zach likes to pay attention to everything else but where the ball is. Perhaps that is why he got stung by a bee last season (and continues to remind us about it). We took him to the batting cage to get some practice! He did well with slow pitch softball but slow pitch baseball was a whole different situation!!!

Kate is a ham!

Kate is turning into quite the ham! She likes having her picture taken!

Cute pics of the kids

Here are some pictures that are just too cute that I wanted to share! Enjoy!

Memorial Day

I hope everyone had a great day off! It was definitely nice to be home!

Crazy Hair Kate!!!

Seriously, Kate has crazy hair anyway...until Wednesday. But it got quite windy at Grady's and she loved it! Her hands go up and down and she get's very excited!

Fun at Grady's!

Zach really wanted to go to the carnival that was here at College Hills Mall...so Matt convinced him that Grady's was better! We took the kids Sunday night and we had a blast!

Happy Birthday Jack!

Yes, I know. It's been a few weeks since I've posted. Between everyone and their allergies, hopefully things are settling down!

Jack turned 8 on the weekend of the 17th! He's such a big boy! Everyone had a great time! There was a jumpy house and a clown! Zach really doesn't like clowns so much since last Halloween (we'll let Uncle Robert explain that one!) but he warmed up to her adn let her give him some cool spiders! Even Kate liked the jumpy house. I helped her but was too nervous to let her do it on her own. She enjoyed the slide even more!

Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day! Most of you know that my Uncle Mike had a quadruple bypass on this past Thursday! So instead of my parents coming here we went to them for a change so that we could also go up and see my Uncle Mike! I'm happy to report that Uncle Mike is doing very well...looks good...and should be going home soon! What a trooper! So we got to catch up with some family, Zach got to play Sally's Baby Grand Piano (I really wished I would have taken my camera to catch that) and then we came home very late Saturday night! I was very excited to sleep in on Mother's Day (I think that was the first time since Kate had been born that I had slept late!) It was a very nice day! I think MOther's Day should happen once a week. Zach wanted to know when Kid's Day was?!?!?! That's my Zach! :)

Zach and swimming

So Zach had an awesome swim lesson tonight! He did everything Miss Sara asked him to do. He floated on his back, did bobs, pushed off from the side on his back, and even went off the diving board. Zach always thought it was way cool to watch others go off that board...but he never really wanted to try it himself. Tonight, he got the chance! You could tell that he really wanted to do it on his own, but it is a little frightening! So, some random boy who was waiting patiently for Zach to jump offered to "help" him off the board. Zach let him and didn't object! He jumped in and when he came up he said that he wanted to do it again! His teacher and I were both very excited! He said that next time he wanted to do it on his own! We're very excited! He had to call Daddy right away!

Pig Tails

So...Aunt Janice decided to give Kate pig tails today! I decided that she looked like Baby Shrek...you decide! I really think that they are adoreable! I would never be able to get those tiny rubber bands in her hair...Thanks Aunt Janice! Honestly...I'm just glad that she has hair!

Aren't they precious...

Especially when they are sleeping! They just look too cute! Zach is notorious for trying to sleep in on school days and Kate constantly puts herself in the corner of her crib (she's a mover!) and her butt is up in the air...does this remind you of anyone Mom?!?!

Kate is walking...with help!

So sorry it's been a few weeks since my last post.
At any rate, Kate has really been recovering well since her cast has come off. She continues to pull herself up on anything and everything and is walking if she is pushing on something or cruising from one thing to another. She doesn't even realize she's doing it...yet! She's definitely our brave little one!
