It's off! FInally!!!!

Today was Kate's appointment for her leg! She's ten months old today and finally got her cast off! The x-rays looked good and she healed very well. We got to see the x-rays and everything looks great! Hopefully things stay well! :)

Zach, Brynn, and Kate

Check out the dresses! These are the first pictures taken of all three of the kids together! Precious!

Kate tried to help Daddy on the Easter egg hunt as well!!!

Zach had a blast at Bryan and Lisa's house hunting for eggs! Watch out! Next year the girls will be hunting too!

Kate is now happy because Grandma and Grandpa got her a new ball!

The Dress

Grandma and Grandpa got Kate and Zach their Easter outfits this year! I think Grandma was very excited this year to have two girls to dress...so Brynn and Kate had matching dresses! They were cute! This picture shows what my darling thought of her dress initially...

Zach got a basketball hoop! He was thrilled!!!

Kate got a tea set! Matt said I'm really trying to make her a "princess!"

Zach found his basket right away!

It's REALLY Easter!

Zach went in with me to get Kate out of bed so that they could see what the bunny brought! He's so precious with her!

It's Easter!

The festivities began on Friday when some friends and I decided to take the kids to the mall to visit with the Easter Bunny and pay those ridiculous prices for pictures! Kate and Zach did well...until the Easter Bunny almost dropped Kate! She was sitting on his lap and he didn't have his hands around her. She just seemed uncomfortable and he was still not putting his hands around her so it made me WAY too uneasy and I scooped her up. We did get a pretty good shot but I was way too nervous with that bunny!!!!

Kate and the exersaucer!

Matt likes to play this game with Kate! He puts a toy on the floor of the exersaucer and Kate loves to climb under just enough to get it! She's so proud of herself when she does this! I'm always the worrier...scared that she'll hit her head or something else! But none the less, she loves this game and will do it forever! I was playing this with her last night and as you can see, she's having fun until she decided to climb all the way in and then she couldn't get out! What expressions!

Gotta Love Picture Day!

Zach had his Spring pictures this week! Isn't he handsome?!? Not that I'm biased or anything. School is going well for Zach! He only had a three day week this past week! He really enjoyed that! He's reading like a champ and doing very well in math! His journal is going well! :) He's looking forward to 1st grade! This should be fun...next year we'll both be in first grade. I am going to be a chaperone on Zach's field trip on the 30th of this month. They are going to Schlotzky's to make pizza, the park to eat and play, and then to the Discovery Museum! He really would have preferred for Matt to go...but I volunteered.

It's almost time!!!

Kate will get her cast off on Monday, the 13th! She was exactly nine months when this incident occurred and she'll be exactly ten months when her cast comes off! We go at 1:30 and then they'll x-ray her leg to make sure everything looks good!!! She'll come home and probably be in the bathtub for the next three hours! She has really done so well throughout this process. She crawls the right way now and even faster than before. She also has taken steps with her cast on! She walked to Aunt Janice first, on Monday, March 30th which was our first day back to school after break! She will walk for Diet Coke and food! Go figure!!! She just had her well-check on Wednesday and she's 20 pounds and 28 and 3/4 inches long! She's growing like a weed! Her toes are at the end of the cast! I thought that maybe the cast had shifted...I really didn't expect her to grow almost 2 inches in the past 3 months!

Paint!

So...Matt and I decided to have our entrance way, hallway upstairs, and living room painted. It definitely needed to be done and we knew that we would not be able to do it because of how high the ceiling in the entrance way was. The green had to go!!!So we finally picked out colors (thanks Erik!) and I convinced Matt to let me have an accent wall. When we were looking at houses, I really liked a particular house that had a red accent wall. Erik convinced me that Fireweed Red would look great! It definitely does! This is quite a switch for Matt who likes everything the same...hence why we have the same carpet throughout the entire house even though there was brand new carpet in the fourth bedroom when we bought the house! :) We really like it and it warms up the house for sure!!!
